The Gospel of John, chapter 21. Jesus has gone to the cross, endured hell, and risen victoriously from the dead. He has appeared to the disciples twice already and is about to appear for the third time. Let’s take a look.

Peter decides he’s going fishing and five of the other disciples tell him he’s not going without them. They spend all night on the sea and catch nothing. Then Jesus comes on the scene. He yells to them from the shore “how’s it goin’ boys?!” (my paraphrase) and then instructs them to throw their net to the right side of the boat. Sure enough, when they do, “they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes” (verse 6). John tells Peter it’s the Lord and Peter jumps in the water and swims ashore to find the True Master Griller has prepared a barbeque on the beach! Verse 9: “As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.”

Hello. My name is Renee. My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me. I created this blog to share good food and the Good News. Just as food strengthens our physical bodies, the Word of the Lord is nourishment and health for our spirits. Deuteronomy 8:3 says that “man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD” (NKJV). Proverbs 4:22 tells us that His words are “life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh”.

I invite you to “come, and dine”.
